The project aims to encourage the participation of stakeholders in educational issues as a means to improve education governance at school level. The project places great emphasis on the need for closer cooperation between the school authorities, the representatives from the parent community and the teachers at school level. The project foresees meetings with representatives of the educational institutions in a number of districts in Albania, awareness activities in the media, exchanges of experience and expertise as well as the publishing of a study of findings and recommendations at the final stage to be distributed among the authorities responsible for educational reform in Albania.

The project is designed to last over 2006-2007. Its implementation is made possible with funding from the Balkan Trust Fund for Democracy based in Belgrade.
