Partners - Albania, Center for Change and Conflict Management is an independent Albanian NPO, with a mission to advance civil society and a culture of change and conflict management in Albania.
Partners – Albania works to strengthen institutions, communities and individuals capacity to manage change, maximize the benefits of diversity, prevent and resolve conflicts.
Since October 2004, Partners-Albania has been a key part of the USAID-funded Democracy and Governance in Albania (DGA) Program. In the framework of this Program, Partners-Albania strengthens Albanian civil society organizations through a diverse program of training, technical assistance, and small grants. All programs are carefully designed to enable NPOs to participate effectively in good governance including electoral processes, advocacy and anti-corruption initiatives.
Starting from January 2006, for the next three years Partners - Albania, Center for Change and Conflict Management along with six other NPOs will be member of the Network for the Open Society in Albania (NOSA). It will operate as a virtual NPO network aiming mainly at influencing policy in the good governance, civil society and European integration areas. Partners-Albania role in this Network is to contribute to the further development of civil society in Albania and strengthening of the NPO sector capacities.
Partners-Albania is a member of Partners for Democratic Change International, a partnership of Centers in 14 countries currently located in Albania, Argentina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Jordan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and the United States.
All the centers share a common mission and are committed in providing conflict resolution training and services to the civic, NPO, municipal and national government, and business sectors in their countries and worldwide.
